Harm was admitted to the Dutch Bar in 1993 and is specialised in corporate law. He also has a strong track record in (structured) finance.
Harm is not only a specialist in corporate law but also a dedicated counselor to his clients with a strong focus on what moves and connects people.
Before he started his own law firm in 2012 Harm worked as partner and lawyer at Loyens & Loeff, Simmons & Simmons and Bird & Bird.
Harm has been involved with many M&A transactions and (mediation in) disputes related thereto. He has specific experience in Energy & Infrastructure and TMT. He was involved with groundbreaking privatisations, the first Czech securitisation and other innovative structured finance transactions.
Harm has been mentioned in all representative legal directories for top lawyers such as Chambers, Legal 500 and IFLR 1000. He has been described as "a responsive and client-focused practitioner” (Chambers) and "very hands-on in his approach to transactions"(IFLR).
Harm mentors from time to time startups with challenges. Furthermore, he helps people who are stuck and need to take action. He also lectures and writes.
Between 2014 and 2016 Harm was closely involved with an Internet startup, a "Netflix for Sport" in the US. He advised setting up the company and international structure, operational agreements, funding, acquisition and management of broadcast rights and other IP and legal matters.
Before Harm became a lawyer he worked as an assistant to a MEP at the European Parliament, an anti-fraud unit at the European Commission and the Dutch Special Forces.
Besides Dutch Harm is fluent in English and French.
